Bianka and Erik’s rural wedding in Åmål, Sweden was special and unique. Both the bride and groom are close friends of mine. The bride wore a handmade dress which suited her completely, from her style to her personality. Think hobbit chic.
The wedding was held on the family property, making the day about as authentic as you can get.
Professional musicians (also close friends of the couple) performed during the ceremony and reception, playing beloved classics as well as some original pieces. Most of the guests chose to camp on the property, which made the whole wedding feel like a music festival.
One of my very favourite parts of being a wedding photographer is being able to document the major events in the lives of my dear friends. This wedding in particular just happened to be right up my alley with all the quirky DIY details. The photos tell the story of a couple who chose to celebrate their love in a way that was completely true to who they are.
This wedding was not just a day of celebration, but a true reflection of the couple’s personalities and values. It was a joy to document such a personal and meaningful event.
