Jordan and Johanna’s wedding at Villa Strömsfors was planned around a simple idea: keep it relaxed, keep it familiar, and focus on people rather than perfection.

The day was set up with a long, steady flow of time together. Jordan is from the UK while Johanna is from Sweden, meaning some of their family had never met one another despite the couple’s long relationship. It was beautiful to see people getting aquainted during the course of one of the most joyful weddings I’ve been to.

I arrived to the beautiful villa around midday while preparations were already underway.

Jordan and Johanna got ready on location, each in separate rooms. The couple’s two young sons ran back and forth between their parents, the guests and the pool, greeting guests and filling the house with energy.

The ceremony was held on site in the gardens by the villa. It was warm and sunny, and guests played music, sang songs and gave wonderful speeches. The mingle, “brudskål”, dinner, avec, and dancing were all beautifully relaxed and full of life.
