What is cyanotype?
Cyanotype is a photographic technique from the 1800s, also known as “blueprinting” and “sunprinting”. Two non-toxic chemicals (potassium ferricyanide and ferric ammonium citrate) are mixed, painted on paper or fabric, and exposed to UV light. The resulting print depends on what you place on your painted material during exposure.
Why am I doing this?
In my online course, I want to inspire curiosity, experimentation, and a sense of playful discovery. You’ll join a growing community who explore cyanotype in exciting ways. Creating stunning prints on paper, experiment with fabric and then show others who are exploring the same medium.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to confidently create your own cyanotype prints, develop your own unique style, and continue experimenting long after the lessons are over. Whether you’re looking to add a new dimension to your photography, craft unique gifts, or simply enjoy the meditative process of creating blueprints by hand, this course gives you everything you need to succeed.
